It’s with great sadness I have to announce that me and Hæmir will not compete at the World Championships in Oirschot next week. After training yesterday he was acute lame. Until now we don’t know why. He has been checked by our vets, farrier and our Equine massage therapist. He doesn’t show any other signs of pain, swellings, hoof abscess or discomfort.

My journey with Hæmir has been magical and for that I am overly grateful. He has already achieved so much for his young age. We have competed against some of the strongest horses and riders in the world and won great victories. The World Championships has of course been our greatest goal this season. Luckily there comes World Championships after this championship, and right now my only interest is that Hæmir gets well soon.

I wish all participants the very best of luck and may the best horse and rider win. I would have loved to give you a fight until the end “We’ll be back”.
